Barcelona vs Man City is play very good
Jack Grealish secured a draw for Manchester City against Barcelona in an entertaining 2-2 draw.
City were twice behind in Orlando in a game which was delayed by 80 minutes due to a severe weather warning amid thunder and lightning in Florida. Pep Guardiola’s side twice came from behind to earn a share of the spoils in their third Stateside match.
The Blues remain without a win in three outings and have conceded at least two goals in each of their matches so far. But this is a young City squad and while the starting XI against Barca was mainly drawn from the senior squad, Guardiola remains without a host of star names.
City trailed midway through the first half when Pau Victor scored for the Spanish side before Nico O’Reilly levelled with a smart finish. Barca re-took the lead with the final action of the opening 45 when Pablo Torre struck past Ederson.
The Blues, with Kalvin Phillips playing at centre back, once again responded when Grealish thumped home from an angle after a barnstorming run by Mateo Kovacic. A raft of second half subs hampered the flow of the contest and it ended two apiece.
City continue their pre-season preparations against Chelsea this weekend in their final match in America before they fly back for the Community Shield against Manchester United. City begin their Premier League campaign on Sunday, August 18 against Chelsea.
